14. Procrastination. If you had more time, you’d be able to put it off longer. What do you put off to the last moment? Why? Tell a story about how you just barely got something done in time – or didn’t.
Alternate: Splat! Use that word in a story or a poem.

Mushrooms of Fire

The explosions engulf
Mushrooms of fire pop up across the globe
Burning with the power of a thousand suns
Dropped on all beings
Ripping with unstable power
Snarling
Through all that exists
Buildings, trees, children
Nothing is spared
Metal melts
They rain down
Relentless
A river of blood
An explosion of debris
Perpetually increasing
By the end it does not matter who did it
Who launched the first one
Only that the shear destruction
Has cause so much pain
To those that did nothing

Sunlight

Sparkling light cascading through the slanted pane,
Shining through the stained-glass window over the door;
No sign here of snow or rain,
Just the joyous light playing over the floor.

Lazy plants langorously hang still,
Their rich scent on the lilting breeze;
No need to move, and they never will,
While they can enjoy a life of luxury and ease.
