14. Procrastination. If you had more time, you’d be able to put it off longer. What do you put off to the last moment? Why? Tell a story about how you just barely got something done in time – or didn’t.

The Cemetery

My best friend kelsey an I have been through a lot together, but last halloween was the experience of a life time and i don't mean that in a good way either. We had been best friends since kindergarten and we couldn't have been closer if you had super-glued us together. Halloween was always our favorite time of year, I mean think about it you get dressed up and go around and get free candy, but Kelsey's parents say she's too old to trick or treat, and they forbid her to go.
“Come on Kelsey that's so unfair! How could they do that to you?” I was getting frustrated this was the year we were going to stay out until 11:00pm and then go to my house and pick through and find the good candy.
“I'm sorry its not my fault that I can't go, my parents are douche-bags you know that right?” I could tell she really was sorry.
“OMG! I just had the perfect idea.” I knew that my plan couldn't fail.
“What is it? come on freakin' tell me already!” She was getting angry with me .

Let Me Tell You What I've Seen

Let Me Tell You What I've Seen

Let me tell you something real. Maybe you have heard ghost stories, but there probably not real. Ghosts don't just haunt scary, old, abandon houses or mansions with organs. Ghosts have the freedom to haunt wherever, whenever, and whoever they want. The other scary and strange creatures are the ones you really need to stay away from. So if for once you want to hear (read) the facts, keep reading.
It all started one night when I was 8. When I was little,I knew that there were mummies in my big brother's room and the boogie man was in my basement. I would never have thought that my room had scary secrets of its own.
My Mom had just said,”Good night Lauren. Sweet dreams!”. Then she turned out the light. After that she went to bed with Dad.

Nightmare

It is when you are sleeping and you have a very bad dream. It is as fearsome as claws from a bear. It takes your mom and your dad away from home so you are all alone. It haunts your room. The nightmare becomes ghosts in your mind. Their spooky noises get louder and louder. It grabs your feet and flips you on your bed. It chases you. It doesn’t go away and you are scared to death.

Ghosts

Some people believe in ghosts some people don’t but I am one person that does believe in ghosts. I believe in ghosts mostly because my sister has had an experience with one. It happened just down the road in my Grandpas house a long time ago when she was just a little girl. She was up in the attic taking a nap on one of the couches. When she heard creaking noises from across the room.

Spirits and Ghouls

Spirits and Ghouls

With Halloween just around the corner
be scared be frightened
for the spirits and ghouls
they have all been waiting for you!
when you go up to knock you prepare your lines
but when you push the door open
there will be a squeak
just make sure you don't shriek
because if you shriek
you will end up just like me!

Ghosts

Ghosts are white creatures lurking in the night
They are figments of our imagination pushed so far that they become real.

Ghost

I believe in Ghosts because my mom always tells a story about how her work is haunted. While she is working she says that she can hear her name being called and when she asks her coworkers what they were calling her for they will reply that they weren’t calling.

Ghosts

Goose bumps crawling up your back. Scary
Houses old and black. Dusty windows
Open and shut. Cold door hinges creak and
Screech. Boo! A howling voice
Terrifies you.

Nasty Ghosts

Nasty ghosts, they’re everywhere
Down the hall, up the stairs

They like to skulk and lurk about
They’ll snatch your voice, and silence your shout

They’ll sometimes hang ‘bout creaky gates
Perhaps in a cupboard, perhaps in a crate

Take heed my friend, for they’ll give you a scare
They’ll rattle your bones and raise your hair

Ghost of the past

Ghost of the Past

By Meg Miller
Woodstock Union High School, Grade 10

She can’t believe she did it
That unforgivable crime
It is sitting in her memory
Eating her up one piece at a time

It is an unfriendly ghost
in the back of her mind
In the day she can’t walk
For fear it will sneak up on her from behind

In the nights she can’t sleep
The nagging is always there

Spirits

SPIRITS
By Zeke Kassel

Spirits flit around us,
ever moving,
never stopping.
Shallow eyes
On their near characteristic faces.
Sorrow etched upon their faces,
Let it go
Without ever holding on
Joy is what we can feel.
Fevers tear through our hungry temperatures
Daring to kill us
But never echoing
Exactly the same
As groundless nighttime celebrations
Please watch your step

Isabel

Isabel

By Emma Redden
Leland and Gray Union High School, Grade 10

Sometimes, she's downstairs by herself,
Or so I had thought,
And she has conversations, dialog.

Sometimes I listen.
Wow, she has a vivid imagination.
Is it natural to talk to yourself
For such extensive amounts of time?
I look down the stairs.
She is by herself.

She comes up for dinner.
I ask her,
