The Beginning

(This a creation myth written for school. Be warned, it gets a bit gory at times, and plain disturbing at others. If you have a really weak stomach, please, for your both of our sakes, go click one of the links to your right under "Recent Blog Posts." Proceed to read the bleeding-heart poetry that pops up.

More seriously, I worked hard on it and I would love some feedback. Enjoy.)

The Shapes

A very, very long time ago, before humanity or the World or even the Gods themselves, there was only darkness. No stars glinted in the dark, no sun scorched the earth and no pale moon hung. There was only the infinite, invisibly roiling darkness. Finally, the darkness congealed into nine clots. Over time, these clots grew until they could distinguish themselves from the homogeny around. Once this happened, these Nine Shapes emerged from their indistinct surroundings.
