Glowing Moonlight

Glowing Moonlight

Writing by the glow of the moon,
Those which pass will not understand,
That which I feel for you can’t be in words,
And my dear,
This is just the beginning,
Tired or broken,
You can rest in my arms,
Fro even if you’re out of grasp,
I will reach for you,
And search the countryside with all the love and strength I have,
I would withstand the pain,
Just for you,
Even just to see a glimpse of your face in the glow of the moonlight,
All would be worth it,
Even the life which I myself contain,
I will suffer for you,
Because just to see you smile,
Shall grant me rest in peace.

Full Moon

Full Moon

By Jamie Benson
Crossett Brook Middle School, Grade 7

A shaft of moonlight seeps through your window and rests on your pillow.

You check your clock, 12:00, you try to sleep but you can't.

You look out your window at the cool night.

The moonlight on the driveway, as puddles of shadow, endless.

Sections of sky woven seamlessly together.

It makes you wonder... . Why.

And in that moment your head rests on your pillow and your imagination soars.

Moonlight

The area you are in is barren, and no sign of life exists. All you can hear is the sound of the wind, trying to talk, and make itself heard.

You try to listen, and take it all in, but you can't
