Give feedback!

Each day we have new writing -- and new selections on the front page. An important part of this project is to give each other positive, constructive feedback. So add your comments to the writing. Read as a writer. Help out your fellow young writer!

Sound of Dad's Guitar

Sound of Dad's Guitar

By Kayla Richardsoon
Main Street Middle School, Grade 7

I walk in the apartment.
I hear something
Something I haven't heard in a year.
It's the sound of Dad's guitar.
I forgot how much I miss that sound
That loud metal heavy rock sound.
It fills my ears and gives me joy.
I've always found it soothing
But I don't know why.
It's just something I love.
I smile to myself, and listen
To the sound of Dad's guitar.

Anger

People come

People go

But the thing is, is that half the ones you love the most tend you leave you sooner.

Some may come back, most don't.

When you see them again one day, anger fills inside you.

And it's anger you cannot control.

Anger that stays with you no matter what you do.

Anger that somehow, makes you love them even more.
