I Don't Understand

I don’t understand.
I usually pick up things quickly,
But,
I haven’t understood this since the day I was born,
I’ve never understood people.
What makes them do the things they do,
Like the things,
And people that they like?
Why?
Why did she do that,
Or
Why does he like her?
No matter how hard I try to grasp the concept,
It always slips away.

Understanding the Game

Yes, it’s a sport, but it’s also a language,
But it doesn’t matter what language you speak.
It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white,
Doesn’t matter if you’re loud or meek

I asked my dad when I was young,
How all the players understood.
He simply replied that they spoke the same language,
But I didn’t understand how they could.
