America

American Pride

American Pride

Everyone knows the Pledge of Allegiance. It is a statement of union, of acceptance, and stability. It is not only a statement, but a pledge. Everyday, children in schools around the nation pledge to help make a better America, to spread the message and values that individualize the United States of America. They state that they are carrying out the message that God wants for his people, a message of hope and love. And when we hold our hands over our hearts, we look to the symbol of what our country is; The American flag.

Beacon of hope

America, America,
The land of golden opportunities,
Land of life,
Laughter,
Strife,
and disaster,
Still standing tall,
Holding the beacon of our people.

"Bring me your tired,
Your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless,
Tempest tossed to me.*"
I will stand the beacon of Our people,

I don't hear America singing

I don't hear America singing,
With liberty and justice for few.
A leader that is only a tool
Cannot be expected much of
However.
We are the bullies of the school,
"Harrassment isn't nice," we repeat.
As a country,
The most corrupted and delusional,
Not caring about anything but Greed.
I'll watch you swallow the Greed whole.
After all, we already consume Everything.
Never give back,

I Don't Hear America

Whispers and whispers
Whispers of secrets
Secrets not to be known
America's secrets
Too quiet to hear
Too secretive to know
America is silent
I don't hear America
