King

A human carpet lies over the world. It bustles about, doing its chores, jobs, learning. It follows the law, or it suffers the consequences. What creates the laws that the collective must obey? What dictates what is right or wrong? What is ignored and respected, and what is watched for and prevented?

You do.

You sit in your throne, situated atop a pile of your enemies’ bones. A lowly serf comes to you for a favor, hat in hand and head bowed. You commend him for his bravery before he is decapitated and added to your throne’s base. You cackle with egotistical glee.
“Guard!” you bellow. “Publicly execute some people right!”
He nods and jogs away. You smile, envision the bloody, pointless deaths of the innocent. “Make some of them children!” you shout after him, hoping he heard you. And still the doctors just watch you as you rock back and forth on the white pads.

SANITY Is For The WEAK

I've never done anything in this style. I don't know if anyone does anything in this style. It's somewhere between prose and poetry. Maybe it is just poetry. I don't know. To the point: this is an experimental piece.

_____________

It was not human. Not anymore. Crouched there among the remains of Its victims and a whitewashed apartment, He knew It was not human.

“Come on out now, Mrs. Levinson.” The officer tried to make it a coo, but came out as another gruff growl.

“No!”

Its voice was shrill and strained. He was surprised It understood English anymore.

The officer took a tentative step forward, and It recoiled a bit. Deeper into the corner. The semicircle of uniforms tightened their trigger fingers ever so slightly.

He chewed another fingernail off, staring intently at It. He looked long and hard. At the blood-stained lips and chin. At the matted hair. At the bloody shirt and fingers.

He grimaced at the sight of the dried blood.

Insanity

We're all a little
Insane
But we tend
To ignore it
I used to
But my eyes were opened
Now I can see
The craziness
Of this world
The insanity
That seeps through
A crack in every wall
It will consume this world
Unless more people
Open their eyes
And stop it
But I alone can't
Open anyone's eyes
Or stop the insanity
Only they
Can save themselves

The Howling *a song*

We've been seeing what you wanted,
Got us cornered right now
Fallen asleep from our vanity
May cost us our lives

I hear them getting closer
Their howls are sending chills down my spine
And time is running out now,
They're coming down the hills from behind

When we start killing
It's all coming down right now
From the nightmare we've created
I want to be awakened somehow

Imaginary *a song*

I linger in the doorway
Of alarm clocks screaming, monsters calling my name.
Let me stay where the wind will whisper to me,
Where the raindrops as they're falling tell a story.

In my field of paper flowers,
And candy clouds of lullaby [flowers]
I lie inside my self for hours,
And watch my purple sky fly over me [flowers]

Don't say i'm out of touch
