14. Procrastination. If you had more time, you’d be able to put it off longer. What do you put off to the last moment? Why? Tell a story about how you just barely got something done in time – or didn’t.

Vermont through my eyes

I was born in Burlington and moved to St. Albans in the second grade. It is a quaint little town with just a lovely and rustic feel to it. I love where I live. There is just so much about Vermont that I love. One of those things is the stunning fall foliage. It really sets a backdrop around here that just makes you want to drop everything that you’re doing and just go for a walk in nature. The leaves make the trees are so striking to look at. My football coach has a saying that he says almost every day at practice. He says, “It’s a beautiful day in Vermont.” Truer words were never said in the fall. I really love to just go out in the fall and go for a walk in the leaves. It is just so visually appealing to be out in nature looking at the leaves and enjoying the day. In my own opinion, I don’t see how anyone can look at the leaves around here and ignore them. They just leave that big of an impression on someone. It helps make Vermont feel like Vermont.

An Ode to Rhymes

Rhymes are so cool,
you can rhyme anything.
The only thing you can't rhyme
is the word orange.

Maybe you can rhyme it.
Why would you I want to find out.
You can try for me--
Do it, I dare you.

Rhyme anything you want,
although I won't.
Read this ode again--
it's kind of ironic.
