Writer's Block

Writer's block
doesn't help
when you want to say something
but don't know how to say it
it's like the words
are on the tip of your tongue
almost afraid
to shine,
let loose,
and break through that hard set of teeth
But I guess that's just a metephore
to how I am
wanting to say or do something,
but afraid to shine,
let loose,
and break through that hard outer edge
of fright
Writer's Block
is nothing more
than words being afraid
to shine,
let loose,
and break through that hard set of teeth
all they need, is time
time to figure out
when the right time is,
to talk

The blank page
stares at me
and I
strive
to drown it
in ink.

But the ink
refuses to obey me
and the white page taunts me.
It sticks out its tongue
and forces me to make up
something
to shut it up.

My muse is gone
I am left to wander
Searching forever
My time is squandered
I try to write
But my guide is gone
And I’ve lost my sight
Of my final destination
My all knowing intention
I don’t know where to go
I’ve been stuck for far too long
My work abandoned
I am left to stumble on
Into a dark abyss
