You're falling so fast
And I can't save you
An angel, my childhood idol
Tumbling from grace to land in a heap
On this mortal ground

How many times have you pulled through?

Sarcastic and egotistical,

Angel's Tears

The sky is clouded over,
And snow silently falls,
Like frozen tear drops
Slowly sobbed out,
By the most beautiful of angels,
Mourning for the one they loved,
And lost,
Praying for another to come,
But horrified by the wait,
Because it took so long for the first to come.

I Once Knew an Angel

She smoked cigarettes
that looked like
the fingers of a starving child,
long and skinny and
as white as
dead coral.
She would suck on them like a child does candy,
her chapped lips forming
a small circle,
her skinny fingers frail
and shaking,
her face lined,

Her house would soak in the scent,
