awkward

I am an awkward child
Submitted by pineapple_babbit on March 12, 2008 - 16:14.I am an awkward child.
I drink fancy teas
That cost me most of my allowance,
And take numerous devises to make,
And require the water temperature to be
Exactly
212 degrees…
that’s the boiling point of water…
But it’s worth it.
I am an awkward child,
I eat leftover sausage from a plastic baggy,
Not even warmed up,
And laugh
Hysterically

Awkward
Submitted by emnoodlehead on February 1, 2008 - 23:34.My whole life ha been
Awkward.
Sometimes I try
Too hard
Sometimes I don't try
Hard enough.
Most times everything seems awkward.
Chap Stick
Dust
Low cut shirts
Yellow traffic cones
Patches of ice
Winter boots
Police men
Cafeteria chairs.
All awkward,
All my life
All just being themselves.

Sharing Is Awkward
Submitted by pineapple_babbit on January 22, 2008 - 16:08.Sharing poetry is awkward,
If you aren’t in a community of writers.
It is like collecting all of your feelings
Into a glass tank
For everyone
To analyze.
All of your inner most thoughts on display.
Outside of writers,
I feel as if,
People don’t understand that.
They think that emotions,
And feelings
Should be bottled up,
And locked away forever.
