  • Fill out "title," "author name, school & grade" and "prompt" boxes.
  • Paste story into "body."

A pale
almost ghostly hand
reaches through the darkness
grabs something shiny
a doorknob.

Polished so well
it could have shown
someone's reflection
had there been
light in the room.

But there was none.
only DARKNESS.

The pale hand tightens
around the doorknob
turns it
to the left.
it doesn't move.

the hand tries again
to the right
this time
but still
it doesn't move.
