Ocean

Lyme School, Grade 7

Roaring waves
Of tumultuous thunder
Beat upon the beach.

Drops of foam
Dance like pixies,
Just beyond my reach.

The slimy rocks,
White with salt,
Which force the waves to breach.

Shells are swept
Upon the shore
White from the ocean’s bleach.

All four elements
Make up the strand,
All for the other to teach
