5. Haunted

emily

I used to not really believe in ghost. the reason i believe in ghost now is because of a trip that my friends in I had. one day i was hanging out with three of my friends. It was two in the morning and we had nothing to do. Then one of use came up with the idea that we should go to emily's bridge.
Emily's bridge is a bridge up in waterbury, were a women had once hung her self from the bridge. The womens name was emily. The reason why she hung her self is because, on the day of her wedding, the groom never showed up, she sat there waiting for him to show up and he never did. After that she cried histaricly, and went to the bridge and hung her self. Supposidly ever sense that the bridge has been hanted by her soul.

Haunted House

Haunted House

By Danielle Brooke
Chelsea Public School, Grade 10

I live in a small, forgotten town in Vermont. Most people consider this town to be safe compared to cities with high crime rates. Those people don't know about the old, abandoned house on Main Street - the house my neighbors just moved out of. They only lived there for two weeks.
"Who decides to move after two weeks?" I ask incredulously.
"They have to travel a lot because of Mr. Martinez's job." My mom sighs.
"Normal people would stay at a hotel if they were only staying for two weeks," I argue, pulling my hair into a ponytail.
"Max, you know there aren't any hotels around here." Mom is getting annoyed.
"They left because that house is haunted!" I insist.
"Go play outside." Mom is sick of my theory. I trudge out of the house indignantly. I have to prove I am right somehow. Then I have an idea. I run over to Angela's house.

Haunted Halloween

House Of Horrors
That red house in Brookfield always sent chills down my spine. I never knew why until I spent the night there with my friends Tyler, Kat, Casey and Josie.
We were hanging out with our friend Josie (the red house was hers). She told us about a spirit room she had in her house, so we checked it out. As soon as I entered the room I fell. It felt as though I had been pushed but everyone said they didn’t do anything.
After that I felt dizzy so we all went downstairs so I could get a drink. When we asked if we could spend the night there, Josie said yes.
We hung out for the day doing chores for the farm and having fun outside in the autumn air. Around 8 p.m. We went inside to eat dinner, pop a couple bags of popcorn and watch a movie. All of us (including 3 dogs and cats) found cozy spots in the living room.

Dreams and Reality

There once was a man from Peru
Who dreamed he was eating a shoe
He woke with a fright
in the middle of the night
and discovered his dream had come true!

The Butchers Secret

The Butchers Secret
There was an old butcher’s shop. It was a run down building on the outskirts of town. The butcher was a very nice man so it seemed. He was about 6 ft tall. He had an outstanding recipe. It was sausage that had some spice to it. People came from miles away to get them. But he seemed to have a bit of a secret. He just never seemed quite right. Some people thought he had a troubled childhood, but no one knew what he really was up to, He would do really weird things like ask if he could babysit some parents kids.

The Old House On The Corner

When I first moved to Vermont six years ago, I moved to a small town called Brownsville. It was a quaint little town with the quintessential town hall and general store right in the middle of town. Nothing seemed special about this town, nothing stood out as unusual or supernatural. After I had been a resident in Brownsville for a few months I soon learned of a secret about this town, a secret that everyone else seemed to have heard of but didn't talk about, with the exception of the local school children. This so called secret was an old house on the corner of the Brownsville-Hartland road. I had passed by it numerous times without even so much as a glance through the window or a look at the front lawn. It seemed like one of the normal houses that dotted the entire town, but I was wrong. This house was haunted. I was told it was haunted by one of my friends at the elementary school, but I didn't believe him, but I soon began to.

A Wolf in the Window

My dad turns out the light after reading the final page of "Revenge of the Werewolves" and leaves the room. The silver dollar moon shimmers through my window, and the howling coyotes consume me, adding to my ever-increasing fear. After about half an hour of madness, I finally turn on the light (half expecting to be jumped by a werewolf the second I turned it on) and proceed to build a fort out of my many pillows and blankets.
Once I realize that a werewolf is not going to be driven away by a Barney the Dinosaur pillow and blanket set, I decide that I need a weapon. I creep down into the dark abyss that is the first floor of my house and make a beeline towards the only silver in the house -- the silverware drawer (looking back, I now know that silverware is actually stainless steel, not silver-ware as I thought, so if werewolves really do exist, I would’ve been screwed.)

The Haunting

The haunting
is all that's left of the girl
who doesn't know who
she is

lost in the sea
of immaturity
the waves of
irrationality
that threaten to wash her
away

the haunting
is soft
and deathly white
a shadow
of what she thought was right

the girl
is haunting
and her song
is tainting the wind
her haunting
and gentle harmony within
her soul

she's
lost in the sea
of immaturity
the waves of
irrationality
that threaten to wash her
away

And the haunting
that wanders
and the girl
who cries
can you hear?
The haunting
the darkness of her eyes

She doesn't know
which way to go
and her heart
is standing still
She lets herself
walk day and night
day and night

if only, little girl
you could see
the way you fade
with each and every step
into your haunted life

girl, don't let yourself be
lost in the sea
of immaturity
the waves of
irrationality
that threaten to wash you
away

Pink

Haunted. Decrepit. Pink. The house on the corner of Chairman and Main can be described with only these three words; or at least, it has not been described as anything else since 1963. It stands among the many houses of Dysart, Iowa, that are occupied; stands there, as if it still belongs when, in truth, older residents of the town avert their eyes from it as they walk down the street.
But not me. As I pass it, I gaze at the chipping pink paint that covers the house, at the collapsed front porch and the plants growing from it. It does not fail to send a chill through me, but then, perhaps that is only because I’ve ventured inside it.

Stay Away From the Doctor

My senior year of high school my family and I took a vacation. Our plan was to travel down the East coast and end up in a quaint town in colonial Virginia. Not my idea of a luxurious vacation but any get-away was sufficient for me. Our trip down went as expected, but when we were searching for hotels we only found two in the area. My mother being as cheap as she was took the best deal. My father and I protested but my mother wouldn't have it.
"There's a reason it's so cheap, something feels unusual,” my father pointed out. But my mom figured we would go out to eat and all we really needed was a bed. Eventually my father and I gave up and settled with whatever we could get.
We drove into town. It was practically deserted. When we found the hotel we noticed a large parking lot.
"The hotel can't be that bad, look at all these cars," my mom said. When we went inside the lobby was also empty.

Haunted

Haunted

My friend’s house is haunted and has been since she moved in. She told me that it was a 7-year-old girl ghost, who wore her hair in pigtails. She also told me about the time when she accidentally grabbed a foot thinking it was her younger brother, but instead she found a 3-year-old boy’s ghost. Her house was definitely haunted but I didn’t believe her -- until one night.
I was in fifth grade and I was spending the night at my best friend’s house. It was Friday after school and my mom brought my things to Corinne’s house. We had dinner, played a few games and talked for awhile. Then Corinne’s mom came in and said we needed to go to sleep. We got ourselves into bed and tried to go to sleep. Then Corinne said she didn’t feel good. So we both got up and went to her mom. Her mom told us to go back to bed and said Corinne was fine.

Watch That First Step

Watch That First Step

Date: June/16/2750
Location: The Dead Belt, aboard The I.S.S Soul Chaser
Time: Approximately 12:30PM, Night Shift

“ We shouldn't be here......” Evan murmured.
“ Why?” replied John.
“ Because this area of space is overrun with ghosts, wraiths and everything in between,” Clark replied.
“You actually believe those stories?” John said, raising an eyebrow.
“No...... I just think it was a bad idea taking a shortcut through the Dead Belt.”
“Right......you are not afraid of ghosts, and I'm the president of the Earth”
Then the intercom buzzed, “All men secure stations, approaching the heart of the Dead Belt”
“Looks like you are not the only one,” John said, chuckling all the while.
“Well, my shift is over, see you tomorrow Evan.”
And as he turned around to go to the door, he became face to face with a ghost. Scared out of his wits, he ran back into the security station and locked the door.

Ugly Witches

My neighbor's house is haunted. You know how I know? On Halloween night I went to their house and saw two witches come out. I got scared and I ran away and looked back and heard people talking but there was no one there. So I ran back to the house. The house was black and the lights were on. I rang the door bell and an angry and ugly person came. I stepped back three steps, then I leaned a little forward and I said trick-or-treat! She said, "go away, crazy! I hate Halloween!" Then she said, "would you come in?" After I thought about it I said, "One minute won't hurt." Then this tiger person came out. She asked if I wanted dinner. I said, "Sure, what are we having?" "Soup. Have some!" The witch started laughing and I ran back and took her paper for the soup ingredients and NEVER came back!

The end!

Haunted

I have been in a scary situation before; I was technically stuck in a haunted house for a whole week.
I took a plane to my aunt and uncle’s house. I came in, said hi and got situated. Then I was called for dinner, and I came running.
On the phone, my aunt never mentioned that her house was “haunted.”
I really made the wrong move by asking them to tell me more; boy I was pretty stupid to do something like that. They said their house had a lot of supernatural activity.
Of course, I did not believe them. We were in the living room -- my mother, sister, aunt and I. We heard my uncle holler out. My aunt bolted downstairs. She saw a little ghost girl float from the far wall and into the hall mirror. At least that’s what they said, while trying to gain their breath back after they ran up the stairs.

Halloween Cabbage Night

Darkness will be in the air,
toilet paper everywhere
Kids walking, throwing eggs
and smashing pumpkins without a care

The cops will come, the kids will run
leaving the smell of funk in the air
The next morning as people wake
their pumpkins will turn to smushed cake,
Cabbage night was clearly here

Haunted House

There once was a haunted house at the end of a road. It was a creepy house and it had not been lived in for many years. Someone creepy had lived there.

My night visitor

My night visitor

The warm white down blanket covered every inch of my body, yet I still couldn’t get enough protection. I clutched more and more of the covers, bringing them up to my head until they ended, and my feet were exposed. I curled my legs up and remained in my fetal position until it; whatever demonic creature it was, went away.
“Go away,” I whispered pleadingly into the dark room.
The hairs on the back of my neck never relaxed. They remained up and alert. The goosebumps became a companion to my skin during the night. My teeth chattered even though my breath was hot and my saliva was thick. I could hear the ruffle of my sister’s blankets next to me and her sigh every once and a while. The smooth rhythm of her breathing and the interruptions of mine made them sound like two metronomes with different beats.

Halloween of the Headless Horseman

Halloween of the Headless Horseman

One night at a haunted house on Pine Street, there was a creaky door. Lacy opened the door and she saw the headless horseman. She screamed, “Oh no!” She ran away, screaming, “WATCH OUT for the headless horseman!”
If you dare to go in the house you will be haunted forever. Every Halloween night the headless horseman comes for revenge to chop off your head. He will have your spirit on Halloween night.
Have a scary Halloween!

The Haunted House

The Haunted House
Once upon a time there was a girl who died in her house. One day people moved into the house she died in. During the nights you could hear someone
laughing . One night the people woke up and heard
the noise again so they went to the kitchen. No one was there. Then they heard the noise again so they went to the closet. When they opened the closet knives flung at them and they all dropped dead.
That’s why people never went near there ever
again.

The End

The Butcher's Shop

There was an old butcher's shop. Some people thought he had a troubled childhood, but no one knew what he really was up to.

It was Halloween, a brisk night, with a full moon, and a scary breeze. Children were out trick or treating. The old butcher's shop was a hot spot for some frights. The butcher set up the shop as a hunted house. It was a hot spot for local teens. It was free, and a place to get away from their little siblings. This hunted house was as real as it gets the scariest in the surrounding towns. The thing that made it so real was is they actually grab you and take you from your friends.

The Haunted Diner

We were out trick-or-treating in the center of town. The friends that I was going out with to get candy was Cassandra, Heidi, Stacy and Brendan. They are my best friends. I knew most of them since the first grade. Some of the kids had said that the old millers place was still deserted, but I wanted to find out for myself. When we got there I was stunned. The house had a fire going and the place was really decorated with a lot of things. This was weird because the house was never lit or anything. It was 9:30 and my mom wanted me to be home by 11:00. My Mom is mean. When I asked my dad when to be home and he said that i could come home when ever. He even lent me the truck and said " don't bring her home on empty". Cases was happy that I had got the truck and we were going to go to the diner with Heidi Stacy and Brendan. When we got to the dinner we walked in and we sat down. The waiter came out and we ordered our food.
