As the Sun Rises
Submitted by Schila on May 17, 2008 - 07:40.One dark and gloomy night,
I watched the sun wane.
The scene was set,
Just like in a movie.
The sky was light,
Inviting some dark
to come into the world.
The colors of the sky,
Were blended perfectly,
The soft flush pinks,
The firey oranges, and brillant reds,
That seem to light up
The gloomy sky.
The sunset is like,
The pallet
Of a artist,
who paints
Just to show
the actuallity of life.
He uses real colors,
Like ebony, chartruse, and charchol,
and mixes them up to represent,

Mornings
Submitted by Gildron on January 4, 2008 - 07:36.I wake up, maybe three or four times every morning. My alarm clock incessantly beeping... at first I lack the coordination to make it shut up. Then I finally manage to hit the snooze button. Peace.
*Beep* *beep* *beep* GAHHHH! I really hate alarm clocks! Snoozed again!
So comfortable and warm....

Nothing else is quite as sweet as slipping away in between old sheets and blankets...
I open my eyes again to soaring whales of blue in skies of green.
He's waiting there again, and he smiles seduction
And speaks beautiful melancholy until I follow him.
I try my best to ignore the cheap two cent words-

Whimsical Morning
Submitted by writingluver on April 14, 2007 - 14:02.Whimsical Morning
Silver clouds of mist float
Along the bottom of the mountains,
The sky just becoming pink in the shimmering sun.
Faintly the chickadee
Sings in the near silent forest
Of the early morning.
The serenity of it,
Enchanting me.

Awakenings
Submitted by writingluver on April 14, 2007 - 14:01.Awakenings
Rising like ribbons,
The sun emerges from behind the mountaintops,
Rays of light cast across the dark sky,
Dawning a new day.
Silently,
The next chapter begins
in the everlasting story of life.
So peaceful.
So still.
