we are lightning

we are Lightning
we are bone, we are breath, we are blood, animals with crowns
hunters and the hunted. 

we are Selfish and Selflessand cruel and kind and carry the promise of an Infinity. 

we love(Ourselves and Others)we dream (of Everything) we inspire(haven’t you dreamed because of someone else?)
(wanted, ever so envious, to be that shining star?)  we are beautiful(as destruction, as Death)(as our man-made nuclear explosion) 
we are nothing but Lightning 
trapped in fragile flesh 
and one day we will break free 
to shatter the universe.
