Endearingly Yours, Vlad III

I had the privilege of stealing your last breath
so that we may kiss each other for eons to come.
Although the disease nearly manifested your death
I wouldn’t change our gothic story for any ransom.

May your heart flutter anxiously in your boney chest
as I prick your fleshy neck and draw crimson blood.
May your soul be forever awake instead of at eternal rest
as I pulse my virus through your veins like a raging flood.

You lay on top of satin sheets writhing with dread,
howling through the night amidst the winds and waves.
Ravishing in your moonlight glow you tear the thread,
with new fanged teeth you pierce through Death's graves.

May your body rise vertically in the pigment of bone
as I restore our once mortal love with a carnelian grin.
May your spirit be revived with the solace of home
as I welcome you with divine light: as love lies within.
