The School Day

The day starts,

Hearing the first bell, I am already falling apart.

Enough stress already today,

So much homework, I think I will decay.

C- on my history test,

Hey, at least I did my best.

Only a few kids got a good grade,

Oh, but why am I the only one who’s put in the shade?

 Let down, my parents said.

Did they know I cried my self to sleep in bed?

A lot of correction homework for me I guess,

Yes, but after I skip my English class, my hair is a mess!

Posted in response to the challenge Acrostic.

At noon i knew it was not right

Once filled with hope and love and light

The blackened pavement of my street

Now has nothing to see in sight

    Without toys it wasn’t complete

  • A Hundred Word Poem

A hundred words is a lot

A hundred degrees is very hot

When you rob hundred dollars from a bank, you get caught

When you go a hundred miles into space you have become an astronaut

  • Empty

The blank walls shine like the ones at a pearly bank

The floors on wood where so much has withstood

I down the halls I take a chance and glance

Even though we couldn’t stand it any longer, it has made me stronger
