Trip To New York

Today is the day! The day where my friend group and I take the bus to New York. Why must you ask? Well, in the beginning of November, we were talking about how we wanted to go to The Rink At Rockefeller Center in New York, NY during around Christmas time to ice skate there. But we didn’t have the money or our parents' approval yet and we also haven’t even talked to them about it yet since we figured their answer would be no. Until, one day, we got the confidence to go and ask them. We made a slideshow and everything and had them sit in the living room while we presented it. It took a lot of courage for us to do that. They ended up saying that they needed to talk about it together and needed time to decide if we can go or not. About a couple days later, the parents gathered us into the living room. They had decided we can go but we had to pay for everything besides the hotel room and the bus tickets. They said they’ll pay for those. Meaning we had to pay for our own tickets to skate there, the ice skates, food, etc, which was fine with us. One of the girls in the friend group mom volunteered to go with us for parent supervision and for our own safety, which was smart.

So, today is December 23 and it is 6:00 am ish. We had our bags packed last night ready to go since we had to leave our houses at 6:30 am in order to get to our 7:05 am bus ride. I am currently eating breakfast and then after I am going to make sure I have all of my clothes and stuff I need for this trip. Like my coat, my mittens, my hat, shirts, pants, a hairbrush, toothbrush, etc.

It is currently 7:30 am. I have been on the bus and on the roads for a couple of minutes now. There aren't many people on here. About half the bus is filled. But, the bus is toasty warm but has the weird smell coming from the bathroom but it is fine with me. I am sharing a blanket with one of my friends and we are watching Netflix on her laptop. My other friends are fast asleep and so is my friend’s mom but they all look super warm and comfy. I might as well take a nap too since it is a long bus ride to get to New York, NY from where we were.

We just checked in at our hotel. Our hotel is literally a street away from where The Rink At Rockefeller Center is located at. Everything here in New York is beautiful in Winter. There are Christmas lights, Christmas trees, a little snow on the ground, and so much more. After we put our stuff in our hotel rooms, we headed back out into the streets to go out for dinner. After that we are probably going to go back to the hotel and rest.

Wow. It is the next night. We just got done with ice skating. It was so magical. Like it was just perfect. Everything about it. The cold air blowing against your face as you skate. The big Christmas tree with lights and ornaments next to the rink. So gorgeous. The bright Christmas lights hanging around the rink and the trees. The smell of winter around us. The people ice skating, hearing the skates rub against the ice. The Christmas music playing. Laughing and smiling. The hot chocolate warms up your body as you drink it and warms your hands. Just amazing. I wish I could do this everyday but we leave tomorrow morning. At least I had a great night with my friends and that is all that it matters.

(This is a story about a girl who got saved by this mystical thing.) It is another day of just sitting in front of a computer all day, just to listen to my teachers talk about useless stuff and then have them assign so much hard work to do.
  • Grateful

Who am I grateful for? Well, there are a lot of people I am grateful for, but I am grateful for my family and friends the most. My family has been there for me since day one. From the day when I was born to this day.
  • Relocated

Wow. Just like that. Today is the last day on this planet called Earth before I get relocated to a space colony. So, what exactly am I going to do today? Well, I am obviously going to spend every moment I can take in today.
