Empty

The blank walls shine like the ones at a pearly bank

The floors on wood where so much has withstood

I down the halls I take a chance and glance

Even though we couldn’t stand it any longer, it has made me stronger

As I glance at the halls once filled with romance

I place his stuff in a pile, and I smile

I am finally free, but not without misery

It took some time to commit the crime

But in the end he could never be more than my friend

I place my hand on the doorway brace

And pull it open and feel the breeze on my face

The comforting silence of no one near makes me feel like ill have a better year

  • Two Worlds

    There once was a town,

    Or well, a place

Where children danced and played games like people in another place.

They ran jumped and hide and laughed

Well for some who were there.

  • Pity

    A glossy face

    To cover disgrace

    Sometimes even with events

    Sometimes leaves a bigger dent

    I don’t need it

    And neither should you

    Because even with it

    You’ll see right through
