The spectacle of dawn

The drooping forest, a tangled mess –
A late-night storm had caused it distress.
The crooked branches, threatening as a spear,
Each creature in its burrow, hiding in fear.

The pattering rain mercilessly fell
Like a thousand arrows, shooting to kill.
Trees creak, groan, and bend to the ground,
A deafening thunder drowns out all sound.

The overflowing river raged and roared,
Grabbed all in its path, devoured, and tore.
Victims of destruction washed ashore,
Their bodies limp, tired, and sore.

Disaster struck in the dead of night.
What a pity to all who saw the sight!
When all of a sudden, there appeared a light,
A nervous ray, peeking through the sky.

In a miraculous moment, the clouds flee.
Nature answers the crying calls and pleas.
The raindrops cease and quickly depart,
Giving spotlight to the shining star.

Grasping the moment, the sun beams with pride,
Throwing colors of fire across the sky.
Anxious heads peek out of their holes,
And give silent gratitude as they watch the show.

A single chirp begins a choir
That welcomes the sky as it gets brighter.
The river, now calmed to a bubbling fountain,
Sparkles and glitters under a majestic mountain.

The forest has survived the night,
And braved mere death with all its might.
The brand-new morning eases all fright,
As once again, the sun brings life.

America is a melting pot of fondue,
    Made by a self-taught cook.
How many types of cheese in it?
    Depends on how you look.
The unique flavors are all diverse
    Each with its own taste.
Just like in America you are welcome,

Nature casts her eyes upon a land in which she flourished,
But to her dismay, the land is shriveled and malnourished.
The few trees that are left cry out to her in pain
